Thank you!
I just did this Wednesday - I went to the Visilab at Sihlcity and brought my partially completed form for the switching of drivers licenses. The technician spoke English so it was pretty easy. The test lasts about 5 minutes and cost 10 chf there - it is not comprehensive but covers the highlights. He filled in the bits he needed to on the form, I went on to the driver office a few stops down, and the license came today.
So, any eye place can probably do t, and it won't be expensive. I've heard if you have a recent prescription, you won't need an exam or have to pay but I couldnt find mine so can't verify.
When I went to an optician for that test I was surprised to know that my eyes are not as strong as they used to be and apparently I need glasses... I payed quite a lot for lenses and assembling but they didn't charge me for the test (since I ordered my glasses there).
