Family doctor recommendation near Zurich HB

Hi,

Google was of little help, as most doctors in that area seem to have below-4 ratings :\

I'm looking to choose an English-speaking family doctor for ordinary visits (as per my insurance requires - a Hausarzt model). I strongly prefer somewhere in walking distance to HB, and preferably a clinic rather than a single cabinet (e.g. MedBase,..). I also prefer early and/or late opening hours.

Do you have any recommendations/experiences with clinics in that area? (MedBase, B3, Arzthaus,..)

Many thanks

With so many criteria i think you are seriously limiting the number of doctors available !

The more flexible yiou are, the more choice you'll have to find one, in your opinion, who is good and suits your requirements

I don’t use them as a Hausarzt, because I’m on a different model, but in the past year I’ve used Arzthaus for the following:

Dermatologist for removal of a Polyp

Full medical required for a marathon

Dermatologist for an allergic reaction

In all cases I was seen quickly and dealt with professionally and in English. I also thought the costs were pretty reasonable.

I am not sure about all the different health models you are on about, but the English speaking GP I use, and can recommend, close to main station as everything in Zurich is, but actually next to Stadelhof

Hi friends! I have just come back from an appointment (I'm sick), from a doctor in the Hottingen neighbourhood and I am very happy to recommend him!

First of all he speaks English very well and has a very broad vocabulary.

He heard me out, he was very nice, he understood what I had right away and even asked if I had symptoms I had forgotten to mention. After running bloodwork he did recommend some medication (I'd been told doctors here never want you to take medication unless you are dying, so that was a relief!).

He explained what I had and why I had my symptoms, he gave me his card if I needed to contact him - overall a competent and nice doctor.

His name is Dr. Marco Vecellio.

Hope this helps someone
