Favourite Campgrounds in Switzerland

Brought over what I could with a bit of help of waybackmachine

Camping Seegärtli (Brienz)
https://www.camping-seegaertli.ch/
Tiny camping on the lake Brienz. Quiet and relaxing. Walking distance to Brienz Bahnhof and Rothorn Bahnhof. Booking ahead suggested if high season, only by phone. Ask for the lake side spots, 5 CHF a day but really worth it.

Camping Eggishorn (Fiesch - Goms - VS)
https://www.camping-eggishorn.ch/index.php
Ideal for Aletsch Glacier hikes, has nice big lots and good facilities. Also a small pool which the kids love.

Camping Alphubel (Taesch/Zermatt)
https://www.campingtaesch.ch/sites/de/
Ideal to visit Zermatt. Small and a bit cramped but walking distance to the station to take the shuttle up. Come in the morning as no reservations taken and no lots assigned - rule of the jungle but worth it to spend the day up in Zermatt.

TCS Gordevio (Valle Maggia - Ticino)
https://www.tcs.ch/de/camping-reisen…-maggiatal.php
Nice campground with good facilities, a pizzeria and a little well stocked shop on site. By a river so nice white noise and lots of playing opportunity for the children. Also has a small pool. The management is very flexible in finding last minute solutions for a spot if you are stuck. Like many Ticino campsites gets booked out quickly. One of the few in Ticino that accepts dogs.

TCS Sempbach (Lucerne)
https://www.tcs.ch/de/camping-reisen…tz-sempach.php
Right on the lake with a badi right next to it where you can rent pedalos and jump from platform (free access for campground clients). Beautiful spots right by the lake.

Seefeld Park Sarnen (Obwalden)
https://www.seefeldpark.ch/en/swimming-pool/
Camping right on the lake with a pool area (accessible for free as a camping client). Very good facilities.

TCS Disentis (Graübunden)
https://www.tcs.ch/de/camping-reisen…z-disentis.php
Wonderful campground up in the mountains with its own lake and playing opportunities for the children. Walking distance to the town and nice hiking opportunities. Restaurant on site and typical mini shop. We ended up here as was the only spot we could find free a couple of yrs back for ascension and it was a great experience. Nights get cold so bring extra warmth

Camping Darna on Lake Lugano. It´s the perfect long weekend break destination for me, far enough away (from near Munich) to be far and near enough for a short trip.

Rendez-vous Camping Kandersteg - Kandersteg, Bern
https://www.camping-kandersteg.ch/
Stayed here for 3 nights with a VW campervan, 2 adults + 1 dog. Super friendly place, very pretty, and an excellent spot if you’re wanting to hike up to Oeschinensee. The pitches were a good size and the owners were very friendly.

Alp Safari - near Sion, Valais
https://alpsafari.ch/
Alp Safari is quite high up the mountain so the views are really astonishing, and they have recently done a lot of work on the facilities so it’s all brand new. The pitches are really big, and they also have on-site ‘tents’ you can rent if you don’t have a campervan. I say ‘tents’ because they’re actually little huts and reasonably luxurious in contrast to a tent! The owners are very friendly, and the place is also dog-friendly. Highly recommended!
