I received today the letter from Federal statistical office that I MUST participate in âstructural survey of the swiss population census 2024â and that this is compulsory participation according to Census Act.
Never thought that they make it compulsory to participate in such servey. I can confirm that it was not anonymous, they already new a lot about me
Should I feel special that they have choosen me? will I get the naturalized easier? 
Itâs compulsory in the UK too.
Itâs not going to have meaningful results if half the people chosen, chose not to answer the questions.

I did it a few years ago. Then was contacted by phone a few weeks after having sent it off, as they needed my rent amount split by rent proper and âNebenkostenâ.
Had one of these too last year. Very few simple questions, but if it keeps a jobsworth happyâŚ
I was receiving it every year, until I finally crossed the first answer option to every question (something like that, I donât remember exactly) and they stopped annoying me

I doubt it. But whatâs the harm of answering the questions to the best of your ability?
IIRC they threatened me with a fine if I donât answer it, on time, but I could be abroad for longer
A couple of years ago I received a similar request (from a European entity) and it was accompanied by a 10 CHF note.
