Filipino looking for a job in switzerland:what should i need to do?

And why do you want to work in Switzerland rather than France? Would be WAY easier if you just had a job in the country you're already residing in.

You won't get a work permit for Switzerland. You need to be a specialist in a field for which no Swiss/EU/EFTA candidates can be found and any company interested in hiring you would need to prove that you, as a non-EU citizen, are the only qualified candidate. That is extremely unlikely in nursing.

Moreover, to be eligible for a G permit, you need to have lived in the specific border zone for a certain period of time from which you are interested into commuting into Switzerland. If you're living on the French side near the Jura region, you won't get a G permit for the Canton of Vaud area, though I don't know exactly where the cut-off is between the two. If anything, you would get a permit for the Jura region, but again, see above, it's very very very unlikely this will happen.

And last but not least, you need to get your certifications accredited in Switzerland.

Again, you'll be much better off looking for a job in France, for which I assume you already have at least a residence permit, ideally also a work permit, and even if you don't have the latter, chances are it'll be easier to get that in France rather than Switzerland.

It won't help you to move to Switzerland as the eligibility and specialist criteria outlined above would still stand.

I'm sure you know the answer to that one.

Of course I do

Hi! I'm Jaja,a Filipino, currently residing also here in Germany and working as an Aupair. I'm also a registered nurse in the Philippines. I'm also taking now an intensive course B1 and soon B2 (before the end of this year) for my German language. Soon, also i'll be taking exam for the certification. I'm glad that I saw your post because recently i'm getting hopeless in my case. I've already emailed a lot of institutions that to get some advices but most of them seems negative or not specific with their instructions. Would you mind if I ask, how did you process your papers from here in Germany? and getting to work in Switzerland?Thank you so much! I hope that you would reply on this, as this means a lot to me and to other Filipino nurses who dream of working in a hospital setting. Thank you!

It's been a while since i have my last post here. I am still here in Germany. Unfortunately, my job offer from this Institution in Wallis did'nt materialized. I received a cancellation of job offer. I thought, i was no longer interested in working in CH but i really have this big interest here.

Recently, i contacted again this institution from other Kanton that i previously had an interview. I asked if the job was still available and surprisingly after 6 mos, the job was still available. I already signed my contract as well as forthe wohnung.and they already filed the application for Arbeitsbewilligung. They registered also the job position in RAV and EURES. Now the battle begins. I am a little worried because i know how it work. Although i am already living hier in Germany, i am still considered as Third country national. So i am lowest from the hierarchy. Despite of this, i want to remain positiv with the outcome of the Process. I hope, there are still remaining permits

Anyway, how many days should be considered as unsuccessful in finding applicants in CH and in EU? I read from one canton that at least 21 days of posting at RAV.

and does nursing belongs to the job group considered as difficult recruitment situation in labor market?

I'll keep you posted about the outcome of this process.Hoping for a positiv result.

Well, if they still haven’t filled it after 6 months you may not have to wait too long, but it really depends on what the canton decides is long enough. Also whether your languages skills are going to be up to the mark for employment as a nurse.

Good luck though and hope the news is positive this time around.

Hallo guys.. Im leaving here in kanton luzern. I just want to

Ask about the Anerkennung, do they honor b2 zertikat from benedict schule? Thanks alot! i hope u can help me

Hello to all Filipinos in Switzerland! May i ask for your help and advises. I also want to work in Switzerland, I'm currently an MIS system support associate in a supermarket here in Pangasinan, Philippines. I'm already 4 years in the company and nothing much change in my financial status. I'm 24yrs old, male.. What are the things i need to do to get a job in Switzerland? Does it cost much? Please help guys..

May nakasakayan ako kagabi sa five-star bus from alaminos-cubao.. i heard that he's going to Switzerland.. hindi ko siya nakausap kasi he's busy talking to somebody in his phone. tapos upon searching the internet, napadpad po ako dito.. sana po matulungan po ninyo ako..salamat po..mabuhay po kayo..

Hi! Iam of course also a filipino nurse. Im currently staying in switzerland as an au pair.. would anyone know what are the process i can take to be able to land a job here in switzerland or any volunteer nursing works that I can do here. Salamat!

Volunteering is no good, you won’t get a permit that way because it costs an employer time and money to advertise and try and find a Swiss/EU national who could do the job. No one would go to that trouble and expense for a voluntary position.

The criteria for hiring of non-EU nationals is here:

https://www.bfm.admin.ch/bfm/en/home…zulassung.html

Basically you’d need to find an employer to sponsor your permit which won’t happen until the Swiss Red Cross recognise your nursing qualifications and you can speak a Swiss language to a reasonable level.

This may help you, there is a very good site to find jobs in Switzerland:

www.indeedjob.ch

They have a good classification with key words and it is easy to check the openings by canton/cities:

Wish you good luck !

Hello Ichbinphilipinnich and All!!

I know my reply is very late. But i need an advice and some ideas. Im 37 years old and wants to work in Lausanne Vaud Switzerland, in Logistics business or any office job. Im currently in Qatar with similar work industry. I am learning French. I would like to know how can I find jobs for Logistics industry? I tried online but they never answered my applications

Thanks for reply

Jan

Welcome to the forum.

Probably because they have plenty of Swiss/EU nationals who speak a Swiss language and can do the job so will get hired ahead of you. Non-EU hiring criteria is outlined here:

https://www.sem.admin.ch/sem/en/home…zulassung.html

hi is there a chance I can find a job in a homecare here in Biel Switzerland. or any part of Switzerland. Im registered nurse in the Philippines and hoping to find my luck here in Switzerland. I hope you can help me find some answer. thank you and have a good day.

See the non-EU hiring criteria link in the previous post. It’s very unlikely since they’d have to prove they can’t find a Swiss/EU national to do the job.

To work in a hospital here you’d need to have your nursing qualifications recognised by the Swiss Red Cross

Swiss Red Cross (SRC)

What permit do you have?

Tom

I have B permit Tom.

In that case, you can disregard what Medea Fleecestealer said above.

You still need to get your qualifications recognized, however.

Tom

Only if the job requires it. Plenty of care jobs don't. And they always desperately need people (because the pay wont be awesome...). However, language skills are crucial in "people jobs"...

Hello, I am interested in moving to Switzerland and work there. I have a B2 Certificate and is a nurse from the Philippines. I am currently working in Germany. Buy I only passed my Anerkennung (Gesundheits- und Krankenpflegerin) 2 months ago.
