Thank you ,

I tried all the links you kindly gave I included the country code and the phone numbers .

no luck so far .

one of the numbers I think is a mobile on swiss.com.041 792

the other I think is a land line 041 582.

Any ideas ?

Did you try searching for the numbers in Google?

Neither these numbers are valid, they look like area codes for the canton of Zug? Assuming the 041 part

Tell a lie, this seem to be Zurich area codes.

Maybe you omitted them for privacy reasons but all numbers in Switzerland with a three digit prefix are nine numbers long, including the said prefix, e.g. 012-345-6789.

In order to at least start your search, you need the last four numbers in each case.

That said, having the complete number does not guarantee a successful outcome!

Good Luck

79 is used for swisscom mobile. it's not put in the phone directory if the person don't ask for it.

if the other is a landline, some people ask to not be in the directory.

041 is the country code for Switzerland

To covert to local numbers you drop the 041 and add a zero -

mobiles are 079 numbers or 078 with another 7 digits

local number 058 with another 7 digits.

The 058 is traceable to a particular original telephone exchange, but when you move house you often take the number with you so it may or may not correspond with the geographical area...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telepho...in_Switzerland

According to Wikipedia 058 are business telecommunication networks, not a geographical area...

good info. I didn't understand why it was in several location and not in one particular area....

Can you not just call the numbers and ask for their name and address? Or are you looking for someone who does not want you to find them?

in the web link http://tel.search.ch/ , enter the number as 058 2xx xxxx and see if this turns up anything.

the 079.... is a mobile telephone, and most likely will not turn up anything.

In addition, there is also a service that I have seen businesses in CH use. As a new customer, I have had a few companies verify my address and telephone number (usually small companies or companies that sell electronic items which have a higher rate of theft/fraud, like www.wog.ch ), before they agreed to ship the items and follow up with a payment slip in the mail. When I had cablecom tel sevice, my number was unlisted, and this caused some problems....

HTH.

Regrads,

A) go to www.directories.ch

B) enter as name "Hug" and as place "Zug"

C) when it is open click to "Erweiterte Suche" far right

D) insert the phone number incl. 04 (044 in Zürich)

then it works

- 041 also is the local prefix for Central Switzerland (Innerschweiz)

- 058 is the prefix for companies all over the union

- another Natel prefix is 076

What does that mean . Business communication networks ?

Here you go -- courtesy of a new service called Google. It's going to be big. I'd buy shares, if I were you.
