Finding housing while on temp work contract - tips needed

I earn a good salary, but I'm on a temp contract. Unfortunately due to circumstances, I need to start looking for new housing asap. I get the impression that landlords/agencies don't really like people on temporary work contracts.

Have you ever found a flat while on a temporary work contract? What advice would you give me?

It is unclear to me if my employment contract has to be included in my application dossier - I have heard conflicting advice on this. Given the circumstances, should I just leave it out? Would that count against me or even make my application invalid?

Also, what kind of flats would I have a good chance of getting? Someone suggested temporary housing but the problem is that I have furniture as well and so far I have not seen any adverts for unfurnished sublets.

Maybe look for a "befristed" apartment. Competition is usually less fierce. Those are mostly houses that will get demolished and hence contracts are only given for a certain fixed period.

Another option is to rent a space to store your furniture. Lagerraum in German. That way you can make use of a furnished apartment
