Is it possible to get work permit while your thesis is still pending? I go to a Swiss university doing my M.A. and will finished in courses. I have an employer who is ready to hire me and I'm already working there part-time (and full-time during the semester break as allowed by law).
It's an interesting one because you're not graduated until the course is completed (and that includes the thesis in my opinion).
As you're non-EU, the potential employer would be doing the applying and your history and existing permits will work in your favour (in my opinion).
What does the company HR say?
The company HR doesn't say much because it's 2 people, my employer and myself. It's related to finance. They are willing to hire me 100% and hire a lawyer, I'm just wondering how the law works in regards to writing a thesis and work permit.
I'm desperate to find out the answer to this question, a lawyer quoted me a few hundred CHF for a consultation, it's worth it for some peace of mind if that's what I have to do
Why don't you ask the authorities?
Would they tell me? Doesn't it constitute legal advice and get me a response like "NUR DER ARBEITGEBER DARF DAS FRAGEN!"
I should try I guess...
"Have to go to our website and look at the conditions"
GREAT, THANKS.
