Flight cancellation refund

Hi all, I booked a flight just over a year ago now which was cancelled due to COVID. The original booking was made with a third party (cheaptickets.ch) for SWISS flights. Following cancellation I got in touch with SWISS, who issued me a flight voucher. However, when coming to use the voucher they now state that it is actually void, and the responsibility lies with cheaptickets.ch to refund me. Unfortunately cheaptickets.ch have no contact number, but I have tried getting in touch with them via email, online contact form, Facebook messenger etc. I have received no reply and I am doubtful I will... Has anyone been in a similar situation or know of an independent service who will try to resolve the dispute for me? I made the original purchase using MasterCard, but I assume it is too late now to go through the credit card company?

I would go back to SWISS and tell them that they may have made a mistake but they can't just void a flight voucher one year later!

Cheaptickets do have contact details:

0900 900 844, CHF 0,86 per minute,

from abroad(+31) 23 - 5176300 (international cost apply)

https://www.cheaptickets.ch/en/about-cheaptickets

+31 is the Netherlands. Depending on your phone plan, likely a lot less expensive than calling a Swiss 0900 number.

Been in a similar situation. Identified the relevant execs on linkedin. Then used the power of google to find the mobile phone number of the CEO. Then called him. He was clearly a recipient of media training so did not hang up and I used 30 minutes of his time. Then emailed him the details and indicated I'd call him again in 2 weeks time if no $$$ in my account. He ensured the issue got quickly dealt with.

SWISS' or cheaptickets'?

Hahahahaha

well it is not so funny because some of these cheap ticket firms basically have screwing the customer as part of their business model

i also looked up who the shareholders of the firm was, turned out it was private equity owned, and blasted the investment manager on the Board of Directors of the firm a nasty email

No it is not funny - but anyone who booked tickets via a third party is having a nightmare getting their money back. Best to use 3rd party sites to search for deals/airline/route options and then book direct with the airline - so much less hassle if something goes wrong.
