I know there's the grilled chicken truck, of course. But other different types of food, like in the US ?
Thanks

I dont believe it will happen soon here in CH. to many laws etc etc. when I inquired about it they said they didnt want their city to llok like gypsies invaded it
It would be a great help if anyone knows where you can buy a used food truck in Switzerland? Also nearby countires is fine Countries....
Thank you so much if you have any leads or links!!!
I have never tried but there is always people eating around.
It's just in front of the Swisscom building.
but it s not very common, normally one eats in the cantine or a restaurant near by (or takes lunch with you)
I have seen a number of mobile Rotiseerie Chicken wagons, mobile kebab stands, and a mobile Thai stand.
I'm looking forward to seeing young, professional gastronomy artists use this as a venue to showcase their talents. I'm from L.A., where this kind of started, and it does work. But as with many things, Switzerland is typically 10-15 years behind.
I'm sure this would draw the ire of restaurant mafias.
... changed to make more sense
But well, since at least a decade anything looking the slightest like "vintage" makes any US-american wet. No wonder. They also tend to overstipulate the so-called "Old World" appearance. Well, there isn't one. But artifacts from different historical periods. And to us, it makes a huge difference, whether it is in fact historical or just looks like that.
And since they cannot differ between fake and real they adopt anything that looks like it (but isn't), but well, we are used to this superficial fuss, excessively as a matter of fact. Fine for them, but it is definitely not okay to force it on us.
Anyhow, "vintage" is such a US-driven invented word. And what a euphemism in fact: its connotation with high-quality. It is just stupid and naive to think that anything old equalizes with high-quality, what a nonsense! But well, probably back at home, their's, it is true that anything new lacks of quality, indeed regarding food (e.g. GMF).
So who are the old fashioned here? – And hey, my prefered US-american friends, would you finally make up your mind, do you prefer anything old ("vintage" ), or do you turn it down all the time!? – Almost a borderliner attitude, I must say.
