Form for tax declaration request

Hello,

I am subject to withholding taxes but I want to request doing my own tax declaration because I think I probably will save a bit of taxes doing that. And also for preparing for next year when I most probably need to fill out one anyway.

They requested for me till fill out this form:

I'm trying to understand which option under "Begründung"

I should tick?

Since I have wealth assets in my home country I think maybe the first one is appropriate, I don't know about the other ones?

Anyone who knows / can help?

I believe the first reason is for when you are required to voluntarily request tax forms and submit them even when having total salary <120k (because you have a certain income not subject to withholding tax or you have a certain total taxable wealth)

The second instead is "just cos I want to"

Not sure if ultimately the anser really matters, since the outcome is the same

Hmm, maybe not? Can they like deny you or something?

I don't think so, you have the right of submitting the full tax return if you want
