Formula 1

Hi, anyone watching the Qualification for Bahrain GP?

Sort of.
Son is watching it so Iā€™m catching bits and pieces of it.

Me Iā€™ve subscribed again to F1 TV. Love the coverage there.

That what weā€™re watching it on too.

I wanted to watch in the bar but woke up today sneezing and not feeling well, so SRF zwei at home

I avoided F1 news over the winter, so interesting to see 1 new driver and 2 new new drivers. Alfa Romeo car looks cool. Alonsoā€™s times yesterday were not a fluke, good times also today.

So, Redbull 1st row, Ferrari 2nd row. Hope this year Ferrari puts up a fight

Race tomorrow at 16h00 CET.

Me too!

Iā€™m supporting anyone but Max this season!

Hoping for safe races for all drivers above all this year; besides some good competition ! Todayā€™s close qualifying portends some tight races !

F1 TV is well worth the money. I only subscribed because I was tired of waiting to watch C4 highlights, but itā€™s really great!

Watched the last round, for all the talk building up to it about it being more of a level playing field; we have exactly the same lineup as most of last season.

Alonso & Hulkenberg showing that they still got it though was nice.

interesting! I was not aware such tv existed. Who is commenting the race? I like very much sky sports

Theyā€™ve got a big team. David Coulthard just joined them from channel 4. You can choose between the F1 TV commentators or the UK SKY commentators - but Iā€™ve grown to love the F1 TV guys.

Cool! Thank you.

It looks like the business grew significantly in the last couple of years.

Me
I had to delay a wine tasting in Alsace to watch it all
I am so looking forward to a new seasonā€¦and Sky F1 does a great job!

Iā€™ve subscribed to F1 TV for the first time. I used to subscribe to Sky F1, but while OK, I prefer the English presenters and it was only available in German. (I tried VPN, but it didnā€™t work)

My only concern was that I wouldnā€™t be able to watch it on my TV, but with Airplay it works fine.

Looking forward to following Hulkenberg and Alonso. Regarding Hamilton, I canā€™t see him winning another championship. Mercedes is too far behind and I believe that it would take them more years than Hamilton has left in his career to get back to the front.

I donā€™t understand how Mercedes have still not got that car sorted. They need to put that sidepod-less shitbox in the bin and start again!! Canā€™t believe they still ā€œbelieve in the concept!ā€

It will certainly be interesting for Hamilton as Aston Martin is half Merxedes :upside_down_face:
Hamilton:

ā€œThey have pretty much the whole back end of our car, they have half our car,ā€ Hamilton said. ā€œSo itā€™s definitely not great for us.ā€

ā€ž Mercedes have chosen this year to stick with their so-called ā€˜zero-sidepodā€™ design philosophy, with very narrow bodywork beside the driver.
This makes them alone on the grid - most teams have chosen to follow Red Bullā€™s very different approach to engineering the airflow around the car between the wheels, which features larger sidepods with a pronounced undercut to channel the air to the rear of the car.
Aston Martin have switched to a Red Bull-style approach this season and appear to have made a leap in competitiveness to be close to the front of the field.ā€œ

Pretty much what I said

Qualification in Jeddah.

Verstappen car broke down. I wish Perez getting the pole position, but Iā€™m also curious for other team to be starting in first position.
