Can someone please recommend websites or city pages for Singapore that offer quality content? And are visited by locals?
Craigslist for example typically works for the US, I'm not sure about Singapore.

For Switzerland we have websites like EF or RonOrp.
When I lived in Singapore, I used these 2 sites primarily:
http://www.singaporeexpats.com/ (I found my apartment through this one)
http://www.expatsingapore.com/
They both have some lively forums as well on par with EF.

That would depend on what kind of field. For IT, the usual global suspects are there:
michaelpage.com.sg
robertwalters.com.sg
monster.com.sg which is more generic
I ended up there on an internal transfer so did not use any of them but found the above just by adding the domain extension .com.sg to some global recruiters I know of. Not knowing your line of work and only really knowing the IT field, I cannot offer much more advice about recruiters. Life in general in Singapore I can tell you lots about!

Craigslist is full of scammers. Usually avoided by the locals.
What is it that you are specifically after? There is the Singapore expats forum posted by ADH above, not many locals frequent that because its mostly full of negativity about the local life
Locals read http://www.cnngo.com/singapore , timeout, IS magazine for the latest happenings on the restaurants/local bar scenes. Is that what you are after?

I need to place an advertisement (job). I'm looking for a business partner for my new business (family office services for Asia (based in Singapore).
Finding the right person is more important, so i wish to avoid recruitment agencies or costly ads in the newspaper.
I thought more of something similar what is www.jobs.ch for Switzerland.
I used to read the ExpatSingapore Forum .
It was full of petty squabbling and irrelevant chatter. I can't imagine anything like that happening in Switzerland.
Be careful when posting about mistreating your maid. It's a bit like baiting the dog lovers on EF.
