I'm pretty sure there used to be free online eurotax valuations. These now seem to be charging for the service.
Does anyone have a link to a free site?
i have seen this site, but it seems to be over valuing the car:
http://www.fahrzeugmarkt.ch/autowert/
I'm after something that is officially recognised, potentially for evidence on a tax return, or import, etc.
It would be good to have a free site, as I can then look at depreciation of different makes, see the effect of mileage on value, etc.
For the former need, if it's for a Swiss tax return, take the price paid and amortize by 20% on a reducing balance basis each year (ie year 1 100-20=80, year 2 80-16=64 etc) was always accepted. For imports, they will expect to see purchase documentation too.
For the latter need, Im not aware of that, but you can quickly get a feel by searching autoscout and plotting some data.
This website is way too over. Almost 40% above the Euro Tax market value for my car. I don't have access to Euro tax either, but if you know someone in your garage, they might be able to take a look for you.
Thanks
Found this Swiss site for free eurotax:
http://bluepagedev.eurotax.ch:1913/E...atis/index.php
It quotes 2580 euro for a 2005 VW Fox with 239k km.
2896chf quoted by the other website ( http://www.fahrzeugmarkt.ch/autowert/).
For cars over 10 years old, the prices seem very unreliable or missing. For different EU countries, eurotax assumes different base KM per year, thus affecting prices. km is extremely important.
Would be interesting to know if the free Eurotax link above is matching garage valuations. Pls note KM differences if you try yours.
