As others said is 500 CHF really not a great budget for an entire week - possible in summer where you just need a cheap bed and hang out at the beach... but even Turkey is too cold for that.
Quick check on the easy jet app: The weekend flights are probably going over your budget, but you could fly out to Porto on Tuesday and come back on Friday... for 113 CHF direct from Zurich. That leaves enough budget to have three great days in a great city instead of a week in a rubbish hotel in Turkey.
For accommodation, perhaps join Couchers or Couchsurfing, make your profile interesting and authentic, and then search for hosts with whom you think you'll get along, and ask if they will offer you their couch for a few nights.
So tell us: Do you genuinely not fly on vacation ever? Or are you one of those on EF who in one thread give us a Greta performance and in another discuss budget airline prices?
It sure does. That wasnt encouraging though but just a snipe comment... at the OP who doesnt sound like the type of person who flies to the Maldives four times a year... As I mentioned do we have users on here who at the same time argue along your line in one thread and in another describe how the use EasyJet "all the time".
I personally am getting especially annoyed if this comes from boomers who spent the first 65 or 70 years of their life with no worry and suddenly tell everyone else what to do to save the world they left behind.

So while I agree that “some” on here are a bit sanctimonious about quite a few things – I hope you’ll extend your absolution to my frequent flyer programme...
I never claimed that Greta is a boomer, that would be idiotic. I used her as the most prominent example of a person who directly puts blame on others. Which is in itself totally ok, but for me less so when it is hypocritic... which is the case for most older people. Going on vacation by plane has been the norm since the 80s. Not for some crazy rich upper-class people, but anyone with an average income. By the early 90s did the entire northern Europe fly to Spanish Islands... you know... when the "Ballermann" became a thing because flying to Mallorca was cheaper than a week at the North Sea. Budget airlines are around since the 90s. Stag dos in Budapest or Prague are not something the young come up with, but where a thing over 20 years ago (back when Prague was actually cheap...).
I cant blame the younger generation to do the same things I did at their age. And I dont see them jetting around every weekend either. They seem a lot more sensible than we were. You can look up the watch threads on EF. Any time somebody asks a question on Rolex will there be at least one person telling them off for spending that much money on a watch, a Swatch would do the exact same job and what not... travelling threads have apparently become the same.
