As of 2018, the "fide" exam is one of the methods for demonstrating the language competence required for naturalization. We are in Vaud, btw.
I've been told that there are practice materials available online but have not been able to find them. The material available on the website above seems to be for teachers and formateurs/trices. Has anyone found material aimed at the language learners?
From what I can see, start from this page. You will need to sign up first before you have access to the information that is in the left column. They seem to have some resources for people who have to take a test.
If anyone needs, I can send the examples what I met on the exam.
As a success story: I downloaded all the materials from the FIDE page above, and went through the typical situations with an online tutor. That was it, 97% for B1 oral part. (2 months before preparation I hardly qualified for A2.2 in a language school)).
I would say the exam is really easy, but you really need to prepare your vocabulary and play the situations.
oh, if anyone wants a name of my tutor - you are welcome to ask as well!
Just to add that people who need to prove an A2 level of French in order to apply for their C permit can also take a DEFL level A2 exam (available in Lausanne/ Geneva..) rather than do the FIDE.
There are lots of past exam papers available to work on and the 4 skills required to pass the DELF exam level A2 with a list of basic objectives.
Have you taken the FIDE Oral A1 only exam? I am scheduled to take it in 2 weeks and was wondering if you have any tips or suggestions on to successfully pass the exam.
for the A1, well, I suggest to go to their official page, register there to get the list of topics.. and to go through it to see, if you understand what those topics are and can say very basic things there are also examples of situations for different levels.
Hi, have you passed your FIDE test yet? I am going to take A1 oral level in spring as you did. So if you still have a list of topics or other tips, I'll be happy to have it
Hi Mary! Thanks for your post. Do you remember what kind of picture to describe and topic to discuss you got for the speaking part? And also for comprendre? Thanks in advance
