Frey Almond Coaties... oh... my... god... *nom* (chocolate almond snack)

I have discovered a snack that I almost wish I had never discovered. A snack that tastes (to me at least) like heaven with the "just one more" addictiveness of some kind of culinary opioid.

I present to you: Frey Almond Coaties with caramelised almonds https://produkte.migros.ch/almond-co...ellies-mandeln

Large almonds coated with a thick layer of milk chocolate coca powder on the outside and a crunchy carmalised center layer.

I have genuinely never tasted better of this kind of snack, they are dangerously delicious, and I would campaign for a dark chocolate version of this specific snack (Frey have other dark chocolate covered nuts but its lower and in quality mixed bags).

These were also the favorites of my late father.

Salted caramel M&Ms are sugar based crack.

They are indeed dangerous.. I take 5 from a packet, put them on a plate and then see how long I can make them last.

and these....

Seeing as I am currently spending many a happy hour in an Endodontist's chair, I may have to wait a bit before trying any of these! A little treat to look forward to though.

The man clearly had fantastic taste, may he rest in peace.

I have never tried them as I always had a problem with M&M's. I didn't like peanuts as a kid and I think I saw the chocolate ones as "foreign smarties". I'm tempted to try these to compare them though.

Your record is... 30 seconds?

Interesting, not sure about the cornflakes though!

I'm a big fan of dark chocolate. For me, milk chocolate is meh most of the time. But I do like almonds and caramel. Is it good enough for even a milk chocolate skeptic to try??

Thanks to Chuff, I may have finally found chocolate worth taking back to the US. They've basically got every other Swiss chocolate available on their shelves.

Frey chocolate is made by Migros.

The other brand/s that we have found that don't make it to the shelves in Australia are Ragusa and Laderach.

Personally, I don't like Frey chocolate....but I'm pretty spoiled...

Here's another, for those who enjoy ginger.

Well 3W, the only advice I can give is to buy and try them... and don't blame me if you don't like it. Please do let us know though.

I do hope they release a dark chocolate version too...

Yes. These are yummy.

Aldi has some honey/salted dark chocolate covered almonds in its Noix& Chocolat range. Those are divine. They don't always seem to have them, the next best thing from that range are the ones with a hint of chili and cinnamon.

Migros had some lush dark chocolate covered pretzel pieces in their "Clouds" range for a while, they seem to have disappeared. Which I guess is a good thing...

Ahhh thanks Kittster I forgot to mention these, I love them too! However as I don't live so close to an Aldi it's harder for me to get them and I think they do have more fat and sugar than the Frey ones which also put me off a little. However they do taste amazing, you are completely right.

Ok, at 3.95 it's not the cheapest experiment but it's also not going to bankrupt me. I bought them. Overall the taste is pretty good but for me they are quite sweet. I can see buying kilos if they come out in dark chocolate though!

Both of these are really great; you're welcome!

You can't eat too many because they are simply too expensive!

I like the Storage Instructions on their webpage:

Storage Instructions: Store in dry cool place under surveillance.
