From job seeker to student permit (EU) - how to proceed?

Hello, I applied for a job seeker permit 4 months ago, I have not received a response yet, but in the meantime got accepted to a Swiss university.

I have tried to call without anyone picking up the phone and sent an email to the Foreign Office in Lausanne to communicate this change, but also have not received a response.

Does anyone know what would be the quickest way to change the permit application status - from job seeker to student - and in result allowing me to receive a permit soonest?

Go there in person or call them?

Usually, you don't contact the cantonal population office at all.

All communication is done via the local municipality (commune). In some cases, the cantonal population office will contact you directly to ask further documentation or questions. So, contact the population office at your commune first.

I went there, they have sent me away with an email address I had and told me to write them. I also called them several times before.

I did this today and was told that it is done through the commune. I was also not charged for change of status, since I have not received a response for my previous application. Thanks for the help.
