I saw a very nice farm near a small lake near Zurich ( http://en.juckerfarm.ch/ ) where one can pick up cherries, blueberries, buy local farm products etc. It would be very nice to visit with kids and families. Does anyone know if we have such farm near Basel?
If no-one helps you out here, try googling Bauernhof Produkte Basel. Several links there under which you can specify the area and select products you are looking for.
There is a posting on basel folk fb group I think
There is one 10km away, but in Germany, between Wyhlen and Herten. Here is the location on the map:

It's the Bauernhofladen Markhof. I was getting some strawberries there, but they have various domestic products - jams, juices, fruit alcoholic drinks, also some meat stuff.
This one is in Fuellinsdorf, around 15 km from Basel:

We went there 3 weeks ago for berry picking.

Thanks! I saw this one in the afternoon too and phoned them. The lady didn't speak english and was quite impatient when I try to speak german to her. I couldn't find how to reach them by public transport, and she also doesn't know what bus I should take to there.
BTW, how much did it cost for berry picking?
Sorry, I also don't know if it is accessible by public transport as we went there by car...As far as I remembered, strawberries were CHF 5/kg and raspberries CHF 4/500g. I think blackberries and blueberries should be ripe and ready for picking now.
Maybe you can try Wiesner's Beeriland ( http://www.beeriland.ch/?page=home ). It's in Bottmingen and more accessible by public transport:
Thanks! this looks good!
would've been perfect if they had blueberries...
My family goes to Wiesner's Beeriland to pick berries in summer. Havent been there yet but planning to go this week. Great place for the family and nice wanderweg too. There is also a nusery and a couple of ponds with frogs etc. there is also a cafe close but it does have odd hours so check that first.
There is a Bottmingen market too but I forgot the 1 day a week that it is open. I will post later on that one.
please post some photos after you visit it! thx!
