We are thinking of going to Konstanz on Saturday to check the shopping there.

Ha ha... I have to agree. I looked at Braun's online flyer the other day, and I felt like I was having a flashback to the 1980s.
I have not been to the one in Konstanz but the one in Singen has more selection than Ikea (large store) but the quality is the same so you will not be getting really nice furniture at either place.
