Garbage- Help- Thalwil

I am sorry the garbage thing has really got to me... I have read all links but still just need some final clarification. Please forgive me for being specific..its really stressing me out.

1) Milk cartons from coop - go in Paid Zuri Sac?

2) Bettie Bossi, pre prepared meals - black plastic bowls - go back to Coop PET bin?

3)Plastic PET containers - like margarine, plastic containers on bottom of meat trays - go back to coop/migros pet bins?

4) Cereal box cardboard - goes to tied up by string recycled?

5) Letters, documents, egg cartons - goes to tied up by string recycled?

6) Peanut cashnew nut tins - goes on tin/metal days?

Looking forward to your definitive answers.... if makes a difference I live in the Thalwil/Oberrieden area.

I have another question about garbage in Thalwil.

I am moving and will have a fair bit of garbage. Does anyone know anything about the tags for garbage bags. I know I can get them at the post office, but are they for certain sized bags, or types of garbage ?

Would it make more sense (or be cheaper) to just buy a roll of 60L bags and fill those up as I go ?

Thanks ~!

What do I do with all the plastic bottles of non beverages, eg Javel (bleach), floor cleaner etc?

Hi all

I am moving to Thalwil and already crazy about disposing garbage...

What about the kitchen waste? Can only be put in the 17 LitersThalwil-bag??? The whole flat is gonna stink until I get the bag full...

How is possible to get egg cartons and small pieces of paper tied up???

I usually put egg cartons (separate the top and bottom half), flattened cereal boxes, kitchen towel rolls etc in an old Coop paper bag, which funny enough - gets collected too. We go through about 4-5 cartons of eggs per month so it does add up.

Paper is on a different collection for me. But I usually shred the important letters and put them into the garbage bin as well. Only newspapers /magazines are tied up and left outside.

As for kitchen waste, yes, it goes in the garbage bag. Add a sprinkle of baking soda in to it to absorb the smell.

PS: I live on the other side of the lake so it might not be relevant.

Thank you summerrain

If Asterix said “are crazy these Romans”, I would say “are crazy this Swill with the garbage!”

At the end, instead of recycling paper as cereal boxes, towel rolls and egg cartons, we put them in the Thalwil sack because it is not possible/not easy to tie them up.

It seems to me that they make the whole process so complicated that at the end you put everything in the trash instead of recycling...

Btw I could not understand in the beginning, why everyone always left behind the "20 Minutes" and “Blick am Abend”. After getting the Swill-garbage-crash-course, everything makes much more sense...

You can put "bio" waste into the green bin anytime.

1) No, you can put those with the cardboard/paper waste

2) Not necessarily, if the PET sign is on, then you may do so.

3-6) Yes

In the same topic...

How can I get ride of old stuff? Like a very old luggage?

Can I put it just inside of one of this paid bags?

If it's very old, it might be a pity to throw it away as rubbish . . .

Good

Actually not very old... just not usefull or usable anymore
