Do you know if it is possible to cross to the french side when arriving at Geneva airport from an european country other than France, and cross from the french side to the Swiss side when departing to a destination other than France?
Thanks.

But if that is required, it’s still a doddle. The French Immigration people are rarely there or just wave people through.
Before security check it's all connected in the building, no control. After security check, I think these are separate zones.
I seem to recall that you actually go through a separate security to check in for flights to France, but this isn't what the OP is asking. They want to park in France and fly to Portugal. Is there actually French parking for the airport? I am only aware of the various short and long-term parkings on Swiss territory...
On the way into the French sector, you may meet French customs (very unlikely) and on the way to the Swiss sector you enter the normal arrivals stream and will therefore pass Swiss customs.
The French gates have their own security check, so you cannot get through airside from one sector to the other.
