I believe the “Quick Silver” Model Y color was premiered at AZ (in 2022 or so?).
You’ve made my point for me ![]()
The organisers announced this morning that the auto show is no more. Not a lot of surprise from the usual suspects.

The Geneva International Motor Show is over. After 100 years organisers have decided to pull the plug on the event. The show has had a troubled few years after covid cancellations and then a reluctance of manufacturers to commit to the show. This year’s edition in March was far smaller than it has been in the past. Many observers are not surprised. Vincent Subilia, Director of the Geneva Chamber of Commerce, told the Tribune de Genève that it’s painful, but understandable. The Tourist Office says it’s not much of a surprise, but it’s a new chapter.
I suppose the price of the stand must be very high for exhibitors. The big brands need a big stand. Perhaps that explains their absence…
Apparently the big ones have found more effective ways of marketing their products.
Had an amazing day at the Lenzerheide Motor Classics today. 300 or so classic cars and bikes, very accessible paddock and fun little “races” with good noise and smell of petrol.
[Maybe a bit off topic, but did not want to open a new thread. Although cars and car events may be something]
All hideous, except my ex-ride pic 4…hehe.
OOOOOhhh that 2002 turbo…be still, my heart!
Would have taken more pics, but it was very crowded today. Nice enough though for 2 hours.
Yup. The old girl’s gone. I had more fun in that car than any I’ve ever owned, including the red 1980 320i (license plate INFERNO) and the M6.
I think the one here was priced at 130k. I wanted to buy this, the 2002 and the 246 Dino, but had forgotten my wallet.
They won’t get 130 for that…market’s gone, and restoration outstrips selling prices. Sold just in time, spent almost nothing on it in 20 years. That Dino brings up memories of my boyfriend when I was 19 and at uni; he had a turquoise one. I always wanted a 3.0CSi, but time’s run out.
I was there last year and was not motivated to return. Not enough space for cars, a whole floor for tractors and other machinery ![]()
That Bertone looks like a Lambo, this is not a complain.
The Cobra, only restoration or conversion to EV?
That BMW behind the 2002…apparently no one wants to take it home, only seen in shows, never on the street ![]()
We didn’t visit it this year, it seems very repetitive. If you’ve been there for the last few years, it’s always almost the same.
Unless this is a joke and by tractors you mean midsize SUVs or VW busses, you must have been somewhere else.
He probably meant the first floor, which was the more boring one as far as I remember.
Last year, the top floor was literal tractors, Motorex oil, sym racing and other stuff related to cars, but not cars.
Kids love these…
