The questions are exactly the same, however the pool of questions is larger so on the actual exam you might get one which you have not seen one but you will see many which you have seen on the test exam. I think there are a total of 70 questions and the exam is around 40. So it all a bit of luck.
I did the test in February and can confirm that. The exam is almost identical to the test which is available online. From the 45 questions there were about 2 which I had not seen before. But those 2 questions were still related to the content presented in the online presentations ( https://www.ge.ch/connaitre-suisse-geneve ).
Just do the online exam 10 times so that you saw all questions which are available there and you will be fine.
Closing my original question with my own response here having taken the test today... for those who may read this in the future.
Confirming previous responses, indeed the questions are identical to those in the practice quiz. There was only one question which had not been seen in the quiz despite having practiced it many many times but it was a very simple one related to content directly covered in the videos posted at https://www.ge.ch/connaitre-suisse-geneve
For the record the set up of the test: You are given a tablet and asked to answer 45 questions with pass rate of 40. The interface is similar to the practice quiz as well. Note: for multiple choice questions you need to have chosen all the possible options to score it correctly. Also note that the different participants in the room each receive a different set of questions so it seems the tests are not identical for everyone. At the end of the test, after you have confirmed submit, you can see your own score and the correct answers, instantly. When you are done, you hand in your tablet and you are given a paper attestation indicating your result on the spot.
I've been reading the posting on the exam. Is this still valid, ie are the questions on the practice exam the same as in the real test? Also, many mention other questions: can you specify on what exactly?
Just to add in a recent experience for anyone wondering- the exam is a multiple choice question exam on paper and as a few people have said, if you practice the test on the website quite a few times then you should be ok!
