Hi all,
I'm looking to enrol on a German language course in the vicinity of canton Zug.
I know some basics - I still recall a little bit from my German classes at high school and can scrape by in a supermarket - but nothing more.
I work full time, so I would prefer evening classes once (max twice) per week.
I would prefer group lessons for the added social element. However, considering that I sometimes travel abroad for work, perhaps I should consider private lessons, or some kind of other flexible option, if one exists.
Does anyone have any recommendations?

Hello, I have looked into this recently, so happy to share.
I tired Goethe some years ago and hated it, it was so old fashioned an expensive, they never let me keep the course materials which I thought was really unfair considering how much they charge.
As a result I looked around and found this chap, you can watch some of his lessons for free on YouTube and decide if you like him, his name is Michael Schmitz https://smartergerman.com
You could try Loreto, a local place in Zug that offers a variety of courses including German lessons. I walked past them recently and through they might be interesting to check out. I think their course search is in German but if you email them, they reply in English quite promptly. https://loreto-zug.ch/english
Or the Migros KlubSchule, which is inside the Metalli shopping centre. Their classes start around 6pm I think, you can select once a week or twice a week in the evenings. https://www.klubschule.ch/Standorte/Zentralschweiz/Zug
