Hello, does anyone know how to best find a (not too expensive) German tutor for an 11-year old?
Could easily be done over zoom, skype, etc. The official course are all like a minimum of 60-80 CHF per lesson; I'd rather like to find a native German speaker who could maybe do 20-35 CHF range...? Someone who could help him with text comprehension (eg subtext, questions/answers), maybe check texts written by the kid and discuss those, etc. Focus on literature, and not that much on grammar. More of a discussion than formal teaching...

I've never used it, but why not post your request on the
Uni Zürich Marketplace and try to find a Student.
Just as a quick warning, I simply don't know, but the price you plan on paying might be a bit too low.
I use german online institute for certified German teachers, and then preply for talking/conversation practice.
For GOI - I pay around 30chf/hour, and for preply around 10chf/hour...
