Getting help with filing taxes in Vaud

Hello,

To my surprise I got two letters from Vaud canton, one request to fill out 2020 taxes and another for 2021.

I'm guessing it's because there was a tiny bonus from 2019 that was paid out in 2020..so I'm now in the need of filing of these forms every year.

VaudTax software seems to only have French language option and I'm a bit scared of making any mistakes, so I was wondering if anyone could recommend some specific company, service or a person who could help me fill these out for 300-500 CHF or so?

It can be even be arranged via screen-sharing session or whatever else is preferred.

Try your tax authorities and see if someone speaks english? They are often very helpful.

That's what I did the first time I had to do TI taxes (I had done them before in ZH), and there was a young guy who spoke fluent English, and showed me how to do it.

30 years later, I still do it myself.

This. We have had excellent experiences with the Vaud tax office, they made us aware of a lot of deductions we didn't realize we could make. I'm sure they'd be able to match you with someone who speaks English.

Honestly if you don't have a complicated situation (e.g. a bunch of properties, etc.) then it's really simple.

Just a case of inputting all income received, deducting what can be (commute, childcare, pension payments), and inputting wealth and debts.

Worth a go to sit down for a few hours with the software and see how you go. If you still need help then go from there.

If you're salaried and don't have complicated properties, I would try it with the VaudTax software. It pretty much walks you through the various steps and if you don't know the answer to something, just skip it and come back to it later. Just remember to save your work each time (it will remind you, but not if you close your PC without warning).
