Any suggestions for 3 and 8 year old kid gifts, what to take from CH to UK?
Knives are always a hit with kids that age.
We got our nephew a cow that moos and yodels. But mainly to wind up my sister.
Cash, or a payment card. Everyone is happy.
I once got my nephew a helmet with a red flashing light and a siren. I also got extra batteries which I gave him when my brother wasn’t looking.
Nephew now approaching 40, he seems to have survived the experience.

You'd need to be careful with that one. Not every is happy seeing you give case... they make take it as an indication that you don't care, could not be bothered to put some effort or time into finding a present etc....

Best gifts I've taken back were a Star Wars hoodie for a mate's 9yr old boy who's Star Wars crazy. Only cost CHF20- but it was a design which wasn't available in the UK.
Another friend's daughter is named Heidi, so I got her some Heidi logo clothes from Migros. She was thrilled to have 'her own brand'.

I find 8yr olds aren't too bother what you give them, as long as it's personal to them and age appropriate. A couple of my friends' kids have names which are more common in Switzerland than the UK, so I often buy anything with their name on when I see it.
Also, with a possible shortage of toys in the UK this Christmas, it might be worth asking the parents if there's anything they're finding difficult to get. I did that when the hatching dinosaur eggs were popular.
I agree. They only start to appreciate monetary gifts when they’re a bit older than that.
At that age it’s all about actually opening the gift.
Maybe some Swiss chocolates? I think most kids like chocolates.
Also, maybe check out some of the shops in the airport here or the main train stations. They often seem to sell Swiss-themed stuff for kids. (I apologize if someone already mentioned that).
