I have a group of friends from Ukraine. Due to the situation in their country they have "moved" to Italy.
I don't know all the details but I've been told they no longer have access to their bank.
They are staying with a mutual friend and we would like to setup a GoFundMe page.
My friend has an italian bank account that can be used as a "repository" for the funds and then transfer that money to the Ukraine friends.
I've never setup a GoFundMe page, so I'm a tiny bit cautious.
My question is:
* is there anything I should know about to setup the "page".
I'm assuming all I do is
1) create the page
2) connect the page to the italian bank account
3) done
4) inform our mutual friends world wide where they can help our group of friends.
I don't have the bank account details yet, so I haven't tried setting up the page yet.
I don't want to screw this up for them, so I thought I'd ask the community before I go about starting the process.
Thank you.
Check what fees they take? Heard this from a friend who set up such a page and she was clobbered with fees.

will do.
I'm setting up a "test" one to see how far I get.
I've run into the page asking for an iban number / bank account so I'll stop here.
But it appears I (or more likely, my friends) can set this up in Italy with all the bank details they currently have.
It would be great if someone has set up something like this in the past to let me know if I'm missing something.
Thanks
If you are targeting mutual friends for donations and not the general public, they could set up a wise account and share the account details for people to pay in, then there are no charges and they would have their own account too.
