Gonser.ch

Hi,

See some attractive pricing on this website. Is the website genuine? Are their warranties any good? Any watchouts?

TIA

The website is genuine and I have shopped there. The service is quite good. Never had the need to use the warranty though.

But you have to use common sense when buying super cheap items. Obviously they are that cheap for a reason.

Best is to read the reviews on that specific item on the same web page to see what other buyers have to say.

Stay away from this company unless you want to give them a 'donation'. Check out the trust pilot reviews. I made an order that should have been delivered this week only to find out now that it is not going to be available for another 7/8 weeks, and only found this out when I emailed them to chase up on delivery. No contactable phone number and very slow on replying to emails - I've learnt my mistake and NEVER again will I type their website address.

I bought few cheap things from them and I got exactly what I was expecting for the money I paid. No issues at all.

In the interests of balance, I had a good experience with them in March. I ordered an office chair for home office and when it came (quickly) it was missing an important screw. Obviously not their fault as they only sell chairs that are made by other companies. I contacted them and received an immediate reply, offering to send me a second chair at no cost.

I've had cheap stuff from there.. Got what I expected.

Strange model though, I ordered a sub 20.- electric heater, it shipped from Sweden via DHL for free delivery..

It is great if you do not have to return. Ordered a number of times, overall quality/price ratio was good. Especially the vintage furniture section is a good deal. Workplace drawers are also of very good quality for example. But metal shelves were really bad. Wanted to return the unopened ones but they have only a limited number of return points. If you don't have a car or don't live nearby it is a hassle. Actually the unopened package is still sitting in my basement (free to give away if someone wants to try their luck)...

Their response is quick, delivery also good. Overall my satisfaction with them has been higher than more standard home24 or ackermann from which I will never order anything again...

I ordered a new 2 meter long garden table from them 6 weeks ago and received it within 72hrs. I was gobsmacked how fast the delivery was and with excellent communication througout. I'd definitely buy from them again.

I ordered a bed mattress 2.5 years ago - very comfortable. No issues with delivery.

I ordered an electric back massager from gonser.ch once, and when I turned it on for the first time, it didn't work. I think I had to call them in order to get a refund, but they had no problem issuing the refund.

Another cheap site that I've ordered from before is vidaxl.ch, and I haven't had any problems with them.

I could not find their number on the website, only a response form. Usually very chary of outfits that don't allow you to call them.

I messaged them about the delivery schedule for a couple of articles and got a very wishy-washy reply. Don't know whether to take the risk.

When in doubt ......

Seems like a pretty normal company to me as there are many satisfied and a few negative replies here.

I could be wrong, then, about having to call them. It was years ago when I had to return that. I was curious, though, so I did a Google search to see if I could find a phone # for them, and it's showing this as their phone #:

Phone: 041 312 08 08

So maybe try that. It should be the correct #, too, because it matches their physical address in the search results and what is shown on their website (Bahnhofstrasse 4, 6048 Horw).

Good luck!

That phone number is also on their Facebook page, but.... it gets answered with an automatic response before disconnecting. I can't comment on the quality of their stuff, if they have it in stock then delivery is pretty quick but problems arise when they don't have the items they are selling in stock. They take money but then no further communication from them, they don't seem to know their A from their T. This forum is not the only place to get a review on them so do your research carefully.....

Bought some stuff.

You get what you pay for.

We bought a rattan lounge a few weeks ago, one of the pieces was damaged. Back and forth emails they eventually took it away and gave us a voucher .

We bought anaother rattan set for about 400 chuffs. Pretty solid, not extra comfortable but I think for rattan you have to pay a bit more than 400 to get something flash.

Bought a stand up paddle from them for 200, not bad at all. I compared the ride yesterday with someone elses board who paid over 700. The more expensive one was better for sure, but only marginally.

So my point is, its cheap for a reason but its not all rubbish.

And by the way there are so many companies that make it difficult to contact them by phone. Try calling a cinema sometime.

Like all have said you get what you pay for. Their service is good in general and they adhere to guarantee etc. I don’t like their totem brand bikes pretty useless as they start breaking with first few weeks of use and repairs here are expensive as you know. Some delays currently could be due to covid situation. Normally no issues with delivery.

You might have been unlucky there. I bought two totem bikes (hard trail and a mid motor ebike) from gonser last summer. Both are still running strong. Hard trail close to 600km and ebike close to 800km.

I only changed the crappy original tyres
