Tres Amigos in Oerlikon has good lunch specials

Also, Tibbits is quite popular and trendy.

In the Niederdorf area, there are cute restaurants along the way you can stumble upon

What do you mean by better?

I would suggest tiffins or Tibits if your are located around the Seefeld area. If you are in Oerlikon tschingg or Rolli's Steak House are nice options.

One of my favorite restaurants in Zurich is Lily's, which offers Thai and Indian dishes. It's located on Langstrasse, not far down from Limmatplatz.

Try Frau Gerold's for surprisngly good pasta with fun cocktails and good Swiss beer. I ate there for the first time last week, and they have great daily specials too.

Alternatively, if you feel like splashing out a little, try Gnusserei - where Wild Boar, buffalo and zebra is on the menu. I had a buffalo steak for the first time there around a month ago, and it was one of the most innovative dishes I have come across in Zurich so far! Also being in a hollowed-out old iron foundry, the atmosphere is quite special.

It's not a budget option. They usually have two lunch menu choices including an appetizer ...with non-alcoholic beverages and a coffee with some sweets, I usually pay around 50 francs.

I don't think Chinese food and kebab restaurants can be considered as restaurants but as fast food Buffé . it's like suggesting McDonald is a restaurant. Süder Restaurant in Bern is really a good one. Casa Ferlin is one of my favorites in Zurich.

It is a restaurant.

It serves french fries, meat, bread and cheese products, ice cream and a cake or two.

Dull maybe but does the job if you really are hungry.

Pretty similar to most Swiss restaurants, wouldn't you say?
