Good luck charms

I was wandering, in different cultures and places people have different charms or do somethings to protect from the evil eye, bad karma and bring them good luck.

Anyone around here who uses them or has knowledge of some AND does any really work for them?

I wear a bracelet with a blue stone. I dont believe in the evil eye but its a gift my godfather gave me when i came to switzerland and wearing it made me feel closer to home. Im used to it now and cant be bother taking it off. And a cross on a necklace. Been wearing that non stop for 11 years

REALLY? the POSSIBLE off-topic? Wow

OP, there's only one good luck charm I ever use within my household when I watch Chelsea football games, this little fella

I find these work a treat...and keep me going until lunch

OMG - you trust Tiger over Pooh!?!

im going to save you a lot of time here -the answer is No.

I always have a Nazar Boncuk on me. My daughter as well.

I don't know if it works but it doesn't hurt to have it. I have it on a chain, like this one and I have a Nazar Boncuk murano glass on my Pandora bracelet.

I wear that Blue eye thing myself as a pendant, got it from Turkey, over there its strongly believed to bring good luck et al.

Also I have seen Indians wearing this Pearl encrusted rings.

In Philipines, I saw in a documentary that they have certain personalised amulets which can be worn as jewellery, some even get them inserted under the skin where they are supposed to work best.

Thanks for the jokes guys. On a humour theme, I have a better one.

One of my crazy friends told me to burn pubic hair of 4 different women in the 4 corners of my bedroom to get better luck with women and keep the evil one's away.

Mate, with the stench that the burnt hair is going to give off you can safely bet that no women are going to be entering your bedroom

There are regular stories about tourists taking rocks from the Uluru stone and then are struck by bad luck.

I would say, thats a good start.

Yes, thats the one I wear. I quite like it, even as fashion accessory and, yes it has sometimes brought me (good/bad) luck in terms of chat up line "Whats that?"

I don't think there is any such thing as evil eye. The only evil eye is humans with eyes

That said I have a stone from Mt. Everest with magical powers. Normally I would sell it for CHF10,000 but I could sell it to you for 1k. It will protect you from everything

Similar for Hawaii: http://www.hawaii-aloha.com/blog/200...va-rock-curse/

You dug it out personally from under all that snow?

You must be a low income earner, to sell your conscience for mere 1K, I was even willing to pay 10K.

No it fell on my head during a mini avalanche.

You are free to pay 10k. So shall we meet to make the exchange?

You have the stone, but do you have the balls?
