I'm sure many of you have good and bad experience on this. So let me ask a question, could you recommend a good Tax Consultant (Treuhand) in Zurich city?

Also in case you are aware of good tutorial of filling the tax forms by yourself would be amazing.

Finally, any tips and tricks you want to share on optimizing the return, that makes you a hero.

I used this guide in English to do the taxes this year and found it well done. I used the new ZH web tool instead of the software (so the guide does not correspond to what you see 1:1, but you can easily map the dots). Between the guide, being able to use google translate directly on the web tool and some googling around - it was actually fairly strait-forward.

Re optimising your taxes: there are a lot of things you can do during the year to optimise your future taxes, but when the deed is done and you are filing there is only one thing you can do to optimise: deduct anything you can
