My daughter is certainly considering it for next year, when both here little ones will be at school full-time, but will need taking and picking-up for school and supervised until parents come home. Sounds brilliant to me if you have a spare room.
Maybe worth considering if you are concerned about leaving your children with somebody young and inexperienced, or having just 'another kid' to look after. Several new agencies are placing older, retired women who would like to travel and learn a new language, living-in as part of a family for total language and culture immersion. In some case, if only a few hours per day are required, this maybe without remuneration, or just pocket-money.
