A few weeks ago a new indoor play area was opened, so me and a friend went last week with our kids and it was fantastic we stayed nearly 5 hours and the kids had a fantastic time, not bored once, well worth a car/train ride on a rainy day, you pay an entrance fee 7frcs for adults and 14frcs for the kids, but you can stay as long as you want . Here is the link www.faegnaescht.ch
Would anybody be interested in meeting on a wednesday afternoon for a coffee and a chat while the kids have fun aswell 1 more thing with the entrance fee you get a voucher for the coffee,/soft drink, or a jeton for the electric cars (choose the coffee as the coffees are more expensive than the jetons )
I would have love to have gone but from where I am it is a 2 hour trip with public transit..ouch! The place seems really neat though.
It is i have never seen anything like it here in Switzerland, or in the UK, really well organised and the staff are fantastic really lovely to the kids. My kids ask me everyday when are we going back they loved it that much
1 more tip if anyone wants to go bring T.Shirts for your kids they run around that much they get really hot fast
Hey, I would love to go! This is exactly the type of place I've been searching for for ages. Do they have much to do for 1 and 3 year olds?
Angela
Mmmmmmmm not sure about the 1yr old, but my friend as 4 children 7, 6, 4 and 2years and they all had fun, so for your 2 yr old sure, have you seen the photos of it it is really big, and not all in 1 area there is the ground level, then 2 more levels all with different things for the kiddies to do . Saying that if you have to pay for the 1 year old there should be something for your baby
A nice indoor playground is also http://www.starbie.ch/index2.html in Dietikon, not far from Zurich.
There's also trampolino, http://www.trampolino.info/ , which is 100m from Starbies. I've never been to Starbies, but Trampolino is supposedly bigger.
I've been there twice, first time was really busy and my daughter was 1.5, we both didn't like it so much. 2nd time she was 2 years old, it wasen't as busy, and she loved it.
Best not to go during school holidays on a rainy day, otherwise I think it's ok.
Make sure you bring non-slip socks, kids aren't supposed to wear shoes on the attractions.
And while I'm at it, this is a german site, but most parents on here must know it? Here's their list of indoor playground type places.
