So I've made the big move and traded my Rockies for the Alps!

Aside from trying to adjust to the German keyboard , things have been going fairly smoothly.

Welcome! Where in Canada are you from - gathering Alberta or BC from the Rockies comment hubby and I moved here last Nov from Vancouver, and I hear ya about the german keyboard, but now I've adjusted it really screws me up to go back to my old computer!

good luck with settling in and adjusting to all things Swiss! EF is a great place to look for all kinds of answers - couldn't have made it without the forum

Yep, you hit the nail on the head! I'm from Calgary. This keyboard issue is worsened by the fact that my work computer has the German keyboard while my home computer has the US keyboard. Since I use both on a daily basis, my Zs, Ys, and punctuation are suffering.

Thanks a lot! I'm actually in Baar too but figured more people would be familiar with the Kanton Zug than Baar. Any suggestions for restaurants (somewhere not too pretentious and tasty!)? I really like the Brauerei Baar!
