Gun Community

Hey there, I'm an enthusiastic gun owner. I own a few firearms (legally) and I got a lot of connections in the local gun community. As a American/ Swiss dual citizen it is very easy for me to purchase guns.

I've read a few threads in this forum and discovered that there is no useful thread regarding gun purchasing in Switzerland. If anybody of you want to purchase guns in Switzerland, let me know. I know the law by heart and I can help you with almost anything. Besides, it would be nice to build up an English speaking gun community .

Wow, do you know how to make an entrance or what?

I'd say in terms of the controversy and divided opinions this will raise, this first posts ranks right up there with "where can I find a hooker?"

Welcome to the forum.

p.s. got any AR's or a Glock 23?

Personally, I wouldn't mind learning of a range in Zurich, where I could rent a handgun and range time for some target-plonking.

I thought that was the NRA?

I realized this the other day when looking for the M-budget version in Migros.

Anyway, welcome to the forum.

Well, if you're in the US...

It's an English speaking gun community.

No, unfortunately no Glock 23. But a Glock G17 should do it with a carbine kit. I got a few AR's...

In the city of Zurich you need to be a member of a gun club. But a bit outside you'll find plenty. Depends what you wanna shoot. If only handguns I can recommend the shooting range at the Shopi Tivoli in Spreitenbach. Ad besides, it would be way better to own a gun rather than renting...

How about ranges in the Zug area?

Shooting range at Selgis in Muotatal is the best one (30min drive). They are open almost every day! They offer skeet, trap, 100m, pistol, ... and they have indoor shooting as well!

...an ocean away, on a different continent.

Since when have they started speaking English in Muotathal?

Since they built up a huge shooting range...

I'll be moving to Zurich next Sunday and was looking for a gun club and info on getting a permit. Shipping my guns is near impossible so I put them in storage but I love to practice and want to find a club in the area.

This is the first I've heard about the range at Spreitenbach, thanks for the info. Do they have a gun club based there and to they have instructors that speak English?

Yes, they do have a gun club there, but unfortunately they only speak German...

Hi,

I moved from the EU to Schindellegi and got a B permit about 7 months ago. If I am not mistaken I can only do anything with weapons after getting a C permit, right?

You might want to read this .

It is not entirely true what they write. Gun purchasing in Switzerland is still very easy! I own automatic guns (100% legal!) which are according to the article banned in Switzerland...

It depeds where you're from. B permit holders can purchase guns!
