Handheld garment steamers -
I never used them, since I like ironing. Wet handkefchief will do for my suits, inside out.
I am curious if I am missing out on it.
I bought a cheapo one from Lidl some time back, and it's quite useful for getting rid of the worst creases on bedlinen that's been through the tumble dryer, after it's on the bed. This is quite a significant thing when you're doing changeovers of up to 14 guests over a weekend - all our bedding is quality cotton and there's no way on earth I'm going to consider ironing it.
By preference I hang it to dry, which minimises creasing, but that's simply not possible if you have new guests arriving the same day as the previous ones depart.
Never used the gadget on clothing, since these days the only time either of us wears clothes that need ironing is weddings and the like, and we have a proper steam iron for that, when needed.
You could buy one of those magic laundry baskets instead. You just put the dirty washing in them and a couple of days later, the washing re-appears in your cupboards cleaned, ironed and folded.
(we don't have one).

What type of item(s) do you want to steam and how often?
I have 3 different steamers. One is dual voltage and is designed for travel. Or if you take the train for a long journey and need to put your clothes in a better state before a meeting, this is an ideal solution.
The other two have much larger water tanks and are designed for home use. One (from Kärcher) is a household steamer with an iron as one of the accessories, the other from Philips, is just an upright steamer.
Occasional to regular use on some shirts/t-shirts/tops. Not for travel. A few really annoying problem creases for example on the plackets of shirts - where on some of them the material seems to have a mind of its own.
It is basically for times when I want to avoid using iron and ironing board, as otherwise the garments are fine.
Not looking for a large appliance, travel-size to small regular would perhaps suffice, as long as it is powerful enough.
So, did you find one to suit your needs? Can you please make a recommendation ? Thank you !
Maybe this isn't so great for the environment or an electric bill, but if I want to get wrinkles out of something quickly, I throw it in the dryer on low for a few minutes (sometimes with a damp wash cloth to create steam). Also, my sister taught me a trick for getting out wrinkles or those bumps in the shoulder area from a shirt being hung on a hanger. She just sprays it with water and then lets it air dry.
