If ever you miss celebrating in style, but can't go back to India- take a trip to Leicester and the Golden Mile. Easy to get there with East Midlands airport or Luton (EasyJet)- the clothes, food, ironware, etc, etc, shops on the Golden Mile are amazing, and so are the Restaurants.
And Leicester has even got the only Jain Temple in Europe.
