My cat's eyes have started looking rather like this:
which I understand to be Haws Syndrome.
She's also started occasionally leaving small hard stools on the floor (she's an outdoor cat, so toilets outside).
Otherwise, she seems healthy. We'll take her to to the vet Monday, but I just wondered if there's anything else we should check, or if anyone has experiences similar with their moggy.
I’m afraid I don’t have any experience or knowledge of this condition, but I just wanted to encourage you to see a veterinary ophthalmologist sooner rather than later if your general practice vet is not able to help.
I know of three in my area, in SZ, ZG, and of course the Tierspital in ZH. I would imagine that there are also several specialists in the Basel area, but if you don’t have a referral to a someone close to you I could pass on the details of those I have seen here.
According to what I read, this is not an uncommon occurrence and most likely a symptom of a systemic infection, rather than an eye issue. Especially given her other symptoms.
But if the vet finds infection or gastrointestinal issue, then eye specialist might be next on the list.
