Under which category (German) it is listed?
I am trying to find it in Easy Tax, but haven't been able so far (Basel Land).

There‘s a field in the tax return where you add what you paid monthly plus what you paid yourself (what is not covered if you have a deductible)
However, it you are on a low income, you will receive a payment into your account to help pay your premiums, based on last year's income.
Edit: There are deductions for total of life insurance, health and accident insurance and interest on savings, capped at 2000 for singles, 4000 for married couples.
Yes they are. See the Wegleitung under “Versicherungsprämien und Zinsen von Sparkapitalien”. Did I just save you CHF 500 or more in future tax?

Expenses are only deductible if they are more than ~5% of your income
In BL all medical expenses can definitely be deducted from Canton/Gemeinde tax - see
https://www.baselland.ch/politik-und…nd1_029_17.pdf
" Pursuant to Art. 29 para. 1 lit. n StG, the self-borne costs for illness and accident of the taxpayer and the persons supported by him/her may be deducted. In the case of the Confederation, the costs may only be deducted to the extent that they exceed 5% of the taxable income (Art. 33 para. 1 let. h DBG )."(Deepl)
I think the 5% rule actually applies to health insurance premiums - eg they can only be deducted from tax if premiums are above 5% of income in BL. I am not 100% sure about this though, happy to be corrected.
Maybe there is a merit to NotAllThere claim?
According to the link aSwissInTheUS gave us:
Stg §29, paragraph 1 reads
So: the answer to the question “Do I get a deduction for insurance premiums in BL” is yes, if the total of your life, health and accident insurance, plus interest on savings is less than 2000 francs total for a single person, 4000 francs total for a married person. Otherwise maximum deduction 2000 and 4000 respectively.
Since I pretty sure - and I’ve looked hard - there is nowhere in the form to fill in insurance premiums - only self paid costs - I can only assume that somehow BL apply these deductions automatically.
I am sure you have to enter an amount in BL EasyTax, as the deduction is only for the cap or the actual paid premium (whichever is lower). Let me download and install the thing.
O.k. looks like BL EasyTax automatically sets it to the max. based on your personal situation (as nearly all pay that much health insurance per year). You can see the actual deduction if you change from assistant to the form view (Ansicht -> Ansicht), there you will see it on Form A on lines 620, 625, 630.
Men...
Don't even make me start on this shit.
Not in Baselland
