I just found out that englishforum.ch is no more, and immediately after that, found this new home. I used to be gonzus in the old forum, and posted mostly on facilitated naturalization topics.
To the admins (whom I could not DM): I see some / most / all messages in the old forum were migrated to this new homebase. Is there any way to associate my new username with old posts authored by me? For example, I am the original creator of https://swissforum.co.uk/t/facilitated-naturalization-interview/129872 but it now appears as created by a user named “Zylyn”.
For now, I’m not associating new members with old accounts.
I started working on an AI tool which does this matching automatically based on writing style and content, but had no time to work on it recently, but hope to pick it up in the future.
Can you create a feature to allow us users to do it?
I just found this forum because I googled one of my old posts. Found it, associated to a username I didn’t recognize, and a little search brought me here
I signed up using the same name I had in the old forum, it was luckily available. Now it would be great if I could merge both usernames. Unless… every post has a different username? Can you elaborate about how much has been transfered/copied and how?
