Hello from a swiss guy

Hello everyone,

I'm swiss and just discovered this forum a few days ago. I find it really interesting so I decided to subscribe. It'd be very helpfull to practice my english and I also may be able to help some of you about swiss stuff !

I've lived in Valais (Sion) and my mother tongue is french. Go ahead if you have any question about the language, the region (Valais or Suisse romande) or anything else.

I speak a bit of german and I don't know much about the german part of the country but I'll do my best to help !

I'm looking forward be part of the community

Welcome to the Forum!

Hello, judging by your opening introduction your English is perfect already

Welcome to the forum

Welcome...and yes......your English is perfect. No Google translation there

I know a couple of Valaisans, and they both: drive like maniacs, and are always early.

Do all Valaisans drive like maniacs and are early? Are they early because of how they drive or because it's an intrinsic trait even if they take the train? I'm sure there are exceptions, but, you know, overall?

And welcome to the forum .

greetings!!!

Thanks everybody for your messages !

I'd lived 5 months in Canada 2 years ago to learn english, I'm glad to hear that I still can write correctly

ahah yeah I know about the maniacs thing we have a kind of private joke here, we say that once you get in Valais, the speed limit on the autoroute is no more 120 km/h but 130

I'm surprised about the valaisans being early, usually we're always 15 minutes late ! We call that "le quart d'heure valaisan" (the valaisan quarter) ^^

I like you already (in a, no hormones involved kind of way)

Nice posts and welcome to the forum.

Salut from another Swiss (Neuchateloise).

Hiya Ceyl, welcome to the madhouse.
