I am seeking the name of a gel that I used in Switzerland when I was a child in 1990s.
This gel treats insect bites/swelling/rashes on human skin. It came in a metal tube similar size to a toothpaste tube. The gel was yellow/orange colour and was always very cool and soothing on the skin.
I am pretty certain the tube had a picture of a wasp/bee on it and perhaps some chamomile flowers/leaves. The gel may even contain chamomile however I am not sure.
I have been searching for this cream for ages on the internet as I do not live in Switzerland.
Can any one help me with the name of it please?
Thank you
It is either Fenistil or Euceta:
Or the Fenistil cousin, Fenipic
Yes, the latter (Fenipic) also contains a local anaesthetic (Lidocaine, IIRC) which helps soothe pain and itching from a bite site. Very effective, and like fenistil is also an antihistamine which reduces swelling and associated itching.
Yes Fenipic is the one. It's very soothing and effective for reducing itching and swelling.
I had to use some only this morning on the massive mozzy bit i got whilst gardening yesterday.
