I got a job in Zurich and I'm looking for an apartment.
I send some applications, and everyone asked me for a specific document: the "Betreibungsregisterauszug".
I saw that this is a specific swiss document. The comune of place where I actually live, Saint-Genis Pouilly, doesn't provide that kind of document. So I was wondering how to get it, even if I have never been living in Switzerland.
I have seen there is something called Betreibungsregisterauszug-plus , which costs 37CHF, and they send it at home, but I'm not sure if they delivery it outside switzerland.
Well, if you haven't lived in Switzerland you obviously can't provide it (or it would be clean no matter what ).
In France there must be some kind of document that confirms that you have no debts, have not been to jail or sentenced to anything else, have not been bancrupt for xy years .....
But you would have to ask where to get this in France, not English people in Switzerland.
We just explained to them that it was impossible for us to provide such document on the first apartment, since our country does not give out such papers and that all we could offer was a paper that we had payed all our taxes in time. They were fine with such.
You could see what France has to offer that might be of help, and else just explain why you cannot provide such form, having your employer writing a nice letter might also be of help.
Our experience when moving to Switzerland was that it was not needed when you just arrived in the country. Documentation for salary (past and current contract) was enough.
I don't understand anyway, why in geneva is possible to request that document online paying 18CHF, even if you don't live in Switzerland, but in the Zurich you can't.
Do you think that if I ask for the that document in geneva, it will work for zurich as well ?
Hi I am a Swiss citizen moving back to Switzerland shortly. I have never lived in Switzerland as an adult and have never lived in my supposed Heimatort at all (I've waved to it from the freeway is the closest I have come).
I'm in discussion for the rental of a flat in Sion. The landlady hasn't asked yet, but I am assuming she may want to see the extract from the debt collection register. I see I can order one online and perhaps I could have it delivered to my Swiss relatives.
My question is - will they even produce a record and send it out for someone that has never lived there?
