Two or three days a week I volunteer at a school in Zurich where adult refugees are given free German lessons. I care for their children in a separate classroom while they are learning. The adults know their kids are in a safe and happy place while they study. For people who have left family and support groups behind, this means a lot.
Wednesday afternoons from 2:00 - 5:00 are often very busy. Yesterday I had 6 small children age 4 or under. I wasn't able to give the kids the attention I wanted to and that they needed. Some of the families we work with are Ukrainian and some are not. For all of them learning German is critical.
So, do you like to play with kids aged 0-7 years? Are you comfortable with energetic toddlers and a bit of chaos some days? Message me and I would love to introduce you to some really special people.
