Herman Miller Aeon Chair

Does anyone know where I can find second hand Herman Miller Aeon chairs in Zurich or in Switzerland?

Size B is for a normal sized man.

There a few shops in the seefled strasse and around the Operahaus area that sell designer office chairs.

Also just outside Berninastrasse tram stop there is another shop for designer office chairs and desks called Intrada. Other than that many retro shops in Zurich area as well.

Ricardo.ch and Ebay.ch have them sometimes Some come from Germany but it's complicated with customs... And you can't tell if they are real or fake till you get them.

Try this:

But would set you back few swiss grands.

thank you Verbier. Unfortunately I don't read German, so not sure how to contact the seller.

This is a Swiss sales site. You would need to register (very easy) then send a message to the seller. I would suggest that you get a Swiss German colleague/friend to sign up. The seller only speaks German.

From there the best would be to suggest that he call the friend who could discuss the details with him in German. The chair is being sold for CHF 1'200 but has been on the site for three weeks. You might be able to negotiate a bit.

Sorry I can't help more as I do not speak German.

Another question based on your ethnicity. And not sure if you are male or female as well.

Are you sure that the "B size" (one for sale) would be the correct size for you? Check the following chart to at least be sure.

I was looking into Herman Miller Aeron chair but preferred Herman Miller Mira chair. I found it lot more comfortable for my body and slightly cheaper than the Darth Vader 80s looking Aeron chair. I highly recommend Mirra chair but as always test drive it properly.

My back side has been on it for couple of years and it still looks new and makes me sit on the PC for hours. Best money I ever spent.

Any idea where one could? Preferably in Bern or Zurich...

Bump,

Does anyone know if / where can I buy Herman Miller Chairs in Basel or online in Switzerland. New or second-hand.

Keep in mind that there are three sizes of chair (A,B,C).

...aaaaaa-and bump again, with a twist. (I'm looking for a HM chair, but not happy with the resales prices.)

The way I've felt most accomplished, or at least least ripped off, when hunting for furniture has been liquidation sales. As in, a company goes belly up, the vultures, me included, descend to pick over the remains. Yay, good chairs, nice tables, happy wallet.

Does this sort of sale happen here? What would be the (German) term to look for? Or is that kind of thing too unorganized, or pharma and banking just too stable..?

Looks like most companies sell their stuff in bulk to some large second hand dealers... who add some hefty margin on it before reselling. They usually put their stuff on ricardo and similar. Make sure to inspect the stuff in person. I planned to buy office furniture there, but my definition of "very good condition" was nowhere near theirs... so I ended up buying some display piece elsewhere.

When it comes to office chairs can I really recommend this one: http://www.aeris.de/en/3dee/
