Hey Ho I'm just an Aargauer

What’s up people!

I am a more or less pleasant dude living in Aargau. We’ve got everything here and I’m also a bit of everything. A bit left, a bit right, a bit friendly and a bit mean. My goal is to have fruitful discussions and I hope to be treated respectfully while doing the best to treat people respectfully myself.

I didn’t really find a rule ok okay/non okay topics, so I assume that everything legal that concerns Switzerland can be discussed here? If not, please point me to rules

Hello and welcome.

The forum rules are here. Also a long discussion about them

Welcome!

Is it true that AG stands for Achtung, Gefahr?

well, given the news that come from the canton… :open_mouth:

Absolutely!

Is there a particular event you are referring to or do you just mean we are a strange bloke - because the later is definitely true

I meant in general, it seems that the canton has (or used to have, as now SO & BS are quickly catching up) a large % of the news that you don’t want to read about …

AG is the 4th largest canton… There is a lot of hilly-billy stuff here as well, very liberal people in Baden, Aarau, Olten, Brugg, etc. and very conservative people in rural municipalities. AG is a bit like a mini-Switzerland in Switzerland with a tad more rural areas.

We have everything here - but I can really recommend the carrot cake (even though it’s a bit of a cliche)
