home sick ...

I've been in Lausanne for almost 2 years now and I really miss Whole Foods, I thought that there would be stores like that in Switzerland for some reason, but sadly I haven't come across any. Theres one health store I found in Lausanne where I get my goji berries and coconut oil from but I miss other things.

Has anyone seen stuff like spirulina chips, navitas power snacks, or bounce? Or anything similar to these?

I know I don't need any of this stuff, but I miss it all the same.

It's obviously not the same experience as going to Whole Foods, but you can order a lot of health food snacks/foods from iherb.com.

Otherwise, there's a Whole Foods in London

What ..... ? No kebab van in Lausanne?

Some of the products you list are not available in whole food shops int he UK. Why not Google 'magasins bio Lausanne' - there are quite a few listed.

I just looked at that site! Do you know what the shipping is? i can't seem to find it.

I don't eat red meat ...

I've actually been to these stores!

Got a green power powder from there actually to get my intake of wheat grass and spirulina among other things, but I'm more interested in snack I can shove in my purse/traveling with.

There are a number of Whole Foods in London, Natoora deliver and many others and of course there are farm boxes to the door. We get a game box each season too. The Whole Foods in Kensington is three huge floors with some of the most incredible food you've ever seen including a food court.

I'm going to London in December, but it's far away ):

I'm going back to Canada for a visit, guess I will pack lightly so I can bring a lot of stuff back, haha

$8.00 for 8 pounds!

It's 90 minutes away...go this weekend, it's amazing.

Sorry, the OP is talking about a shop by the name of Whole Foods.

It's actually "safer" in terms of import tax to take the $4 Global mail option and to do several orders. Parcels usually take a 5-10 days to be delivered, and I've never had any problems with them.

As long as you're not driving in the Whole Foods parking lot. Something about the parking lot makes people crazy. I should visit a UK one to see if the same looniness persists there.

For iherb, you may be charged tax if what you order is taxed in CH at 8% and you order more than CHF 60. But lots of suppliments and food are taxed at 2.5% so you won't be taxed for orders under chf 200.

No parking lot in UK Whole Foods. All very different there. It's a stunning store, like Globus here with the size and selection of Carrefour.

I spend a lot of time in Freiburg Germany to get my former Whole Food fix and I must say I prefer it now.

I go at least once a month and stock up from all the plentiful products for half the price you'd pay here from all the natural bio stores located on practically every other corner. Freiburg is like one big organically grown crunchy granola Whole foods wrapped up into in a big natural bio center + plus so much more. It's the greenest city in all of Germany! It's best to get there early and spend time in the local farmers market which sets up daily around the the beautiful Munster. I know it's a little further from Lausanne but it makes a great day or overnight trip and so many people there speak French too. I usually spend a couple of days, visit friends, family, shop, eat in great restaurants and practice hoch Deutsch a bit more.

If you want someone to help show you around send me a PM, I'd be happy to oblige.

Is it owned by the same person as in the US? Some of the stores in the US are indeed "stunning" with an enormous selection.

Out of interest which shop are you referring to in Lausanne? Le Topinambour (sous gare) is quite good, if you haven't been already!

Yup, same company. There are a couple smaller ones in London and one giant one in Kensington. My cupboards are stocked with supplies from there.

Kebabs are brown, not red.

Not sure if they are meat, either.
