Hotel for kids?

My wife is going away for a week with her friends next month and i'm thinking what I can do that's fun with the kids.

In summer I'd have just booked a couple of nights at a EuroCamp and they can run wild. (6 and 3 years old)

Are there hotels aimed at kids, where they can play and run around? Not just with a tiny soft play where they still have to behave? Yeah we could just stay home of course but I fancy taking them somewhere.

Would I be mental to take them disney paris for 2 nights in March, it looks pretty cheap!

Europapark is great for little (& big) ones. There's a beach section where they can run around, various pools & themed rooms. If it rains there are indoor climbing frames. No need to go all the way to Paris.

Sure. They are called "Kinderhotel" in German and most of them are in Germany or Austria. Here is one in Switzerland:

The idea of these hotels though is less "free range", more "intensive babysitting." The kids have an organized program of activities, crafts etc. to keep them occupied 8 hours a day while parents are off skiing or sauna-ing or whatever. That may or may not be the type of thing you're looking for.

Centreparc in France could be an option too.

We did Disneyland in February with a then five year old and it was ok. Still pretty busy and it got a bit cold queuing for some of the rides. The small work area is great for younger kids.

Boo .. Looks like EuroParc isn't quite open yet on my date..

CenterParc is more expensive than disney..

The kinderhotel is not what I'm after really.

Disney is topping the list so far, 6 hours drive though, each way for a couple of days in the park. or train, 4 hours in first class might be better!
